25th Anniversary

25 years ago women’s professional basketball finally secured a formula that would give the American women the same opportunity that men have had for decades. The WBA have laid the foundation for the future of women’s professional basketball here in the United States. And in doing so it allowed women to be able to stay in their own country to play professional basketball without having to go overseas to Japan, Europe or France or any other countries. By creating the (first ever spring and summer) women’s professional basketball league the foundation was laid by the Women’s Basketball Association and the rest is history.
